A darkness falls over the land when the Queen of Rurith dies.

Consumed with grief, King Ivar blames their son, Prince Leif, for her demise, and locks him away in the castle.

The Prince is left in total despair, until a girl, with hair the colour of a red sunset and green eyes shows him mercy.

For six years she visits him in secret, giving him hope where none existed before.

But Ruith hides many treacherous things that threaten to bring the Kingdom to its knees.

Until the Prince and his beastly curse are released.

“I need not kill to show my power. Kindness gets you farther than fear.”

900 A.D., a prince, named Prince Leif, was born half-human and half-monster who is coming to terms of his identity. Prince Leif has a beautiful soul and has a beautiful heart, regardless of the beast that consumes inside him. He always put kindness first and keeps harm away from those around him.

Additionally, the cover! It is absolutely beautiful! You know with a cover this beautiful that it will just reel you in for a wonderful story! The twist and the happy ending, I am pleased to have had the opportunity to read this book. Each character was well-developed with a setting so vivid.

From the title, I assure you this is not a Beauty and the Beast retelling, however the story is still just as captivating!
