Hostage by Clare Mackintosh
“Every single person on this plane has a reason to be here: someone they’re going to see, someone who will cry for them if our plane never arrives. Every passenger has a story. A life to live.”
This book is told with multiple POV, two separate storylines, and sectioned off into two parts. The first part of the book introduces us to Mina, who is a flight attendant for World Airlines and is working on the inaugural 20 hour non-stop flight from London to Sydney. Mina is left with a decision whether to save her love one or hundreds of strangers.
The multiple narrative were executed masterfully. The premise of the story was great. I am rating it a 4-star due to it not being able to make me “turn the pages” enough – (it took me a couple of weeks to finish) but a good story nonetheless.
